So what exactly is Brazilian Waxing?

Essentially, a Brazilian removes from the front of the pubic bone, around the external genitals, between the upper thighs, and around the anus. Depending on your preferences, I can remove all hair in the area or leave a small strip of hair at the front.
Brazilian waxes last about three to six weeks, depending on your rate of hair growth. The best thing you can do for your skin is to wax regularly and as soon as your hair is about 1/4 long. The more you do it, the longer the results last. If you wait longer or only get waxed on occasion, it will be a little more painful.
How painful - It stings for a short while and might be a little sensitive once you're done, but I wouldn't say that it actually hurts a lot or for any significant length of time. It could be sensitive for a day or two at the absolute most.
Is it better to shave of wax?
Although the results are fairly similar, the biggest difference is how long waxing will last. On average, waxing lasts around 3 or 4 weeks because the hair is removed at the root. Hair does grow back much faster with shaving and usually within 3 days to a week. This is because shaving only removes the top layer of the hair.
How to prepare for your waxing session
Make sure your hair is at least 1/4 inch long so you can stop shaving this area for about a week or so.
Wear cotton underwear or loose bottoms to your appointment
For after care, I recommend that you
- Don't take a super hot shower after a wax
- Don't take a bath immediately after a wax
- Don't exfoliate after a wax
- Don't have an intense workout straight after a waxing session
- Don't have sex immediately after a wax
- Do avoid wearing tight clothes
- Do avoid artificial fragrances and colored soaps, lotions and sprays
- and most importantly, Do enjoy the softest, longest lasting and best method to remove pubic hair.
